EMILY DYKSTRA, DESIGNER
Branding
Working with clients on branding is absolutely energizing. It's very satisfying to see the final result.
Psychiatrist Branding
This ketamine logo needed to look fresh and friendly as well as the website. It was a pleasure working on this project with this doctor.
Albemarle Chemicals
Albemarle, a North Carolina chemicals manufacturer, wanted to encourage team communication through the creation of refreshed internal programs.
Software Company
When this software company approached me about creating their logo, they needed two things: 1. They wanted a logo that would play well with the Microsoft logo.
2. They wanted a sailboat theme.
It took a lot of tweaking, but we came up with this rendition.

STIC Technology Company
This technology company needed a logo that looked professional, crisp and strong to keep up with their projected growth.
Dual Branding
When the owner of EIO came to me, he had a lot of beautiful ideas, but when he boiled it down he gave one directive: "I want the brand to look cool."
Obviously "looking cool" can be highly subjective; We conducted an archetype profile first, to determine the look and feel of the company. Once we had the data from this profile, the design flowed beautifully.
Originally the owner wanted one logo, but as he looked at his client base, he realized he needed two.
This project was heady and fun. I created a flurry of concepts for him and then when we nailed down the logos, I created a style guide as brand scaffolding.
BDFutures Branding
BDFutures needed a new branding package for their company. We started with an archetype study to determine the vibe of the company.
From there, I created some loose shapes and type treatments to get a reaction. The branding process is very iterative and requires a spirit of discovery and curiosity.
In the end, the client chose an abstract mountain theme which energizing gradients.
