EMILY DYKSTRA, DESIGNER
THE CHALLENGE
Design a logo and visual system for an
addiction recovery healthcare company.
After designing the logo with fresh blues and greens, I created a body of design elements (color palette, gradients, shapes, etc.) to tell a fuller story. The work needed to look hopeful and authentic.
The color palette included primary, secondary and tertiary color options.
We let the visual elements naturally evolve by responding to the messaging at hand.
When we needed a color field, we utilized the premade gradient and overlayed it with a repeating pattern.
Keeping a spirit of curiosity and flexibility is key when building a brand. The elements need to work for the messaging; if they don't work, new elements need to be introduced.
